YOU MUST READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THIS INFORMATION BEFORE USING THE DIGITAL AND YOU APPLICATION

By using the Digital and You application, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

ELIGIBILITY AND USE

• I confirm that I reside in the State of Queensland
• I confirm that I am 16 years of age or older, or I have obtained my parent’s/guardian’s permission to use this application
• I agree to use the application’s content according to the conditions of use for each service or feature

PRIVACY POLICY

• I understand that the privacy policy is available for the Digital and You application at https://www.digitalandyou.com.au/privacy
• I acknowledge that I have read and understand the user data collection and practices used by the Digital and You application as outlined in the privacy policy

RISKS AND LIABILITY

• I understand that I use the Digital and You application at my own risk
• I acknowledge that the State Library of Queensland does not accept liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage that may arise from my use of the application
• I understand that the application may provide access to internet content, which is largely unregulated in Australia
• I acknowledge that the State Library cannot guarantee the security of data accessed or transmitted through the application
• I understand that the accuracy or validity of information accessed through the application cannot be guaranteed

ACCEPTABLE USE

• I agree not to use the application in any way that infringes on the security of people or property
• I will not violate privacy or monitor electronic communications of others
• I agree not to copy copyright-protected material without authorization
• I will not publicly display offensive or objectionable material through the application
• I agree not to use another person's account or allow others to use my account
• I will not use the application in a way that disrupts or interferes with the service or other users' experience
• I understand that unacceptable use may result in temporary or permanent loss of access to the application and State Library services

DATA STORAGE AND SHARING

• I understand that the State Library of Queensland may store data offshore and share my information with companies based outside Australia to provide services
• I acknowledge that these suppliers are only allowed to use the data for contractually agreed purposes and must handle it confidentially and securely in accordance with Queensland privacy legislation

CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

• If I am a parent or guardian of a child under 12 years old, I agree to supervise their use of the application
